Work on a passionate, consumer-centric agile team to create and evolve our personalized logged in experience Channel broader design vision and articulate product design strategy via visual artifacts.
Grow expertise and stay current on customer needs for a logged in experience and behaviors in the digital landscape, working with Product and Research teams.
Capture interactions, edge-cases, & the various states of experiences through deliverables such as user flows, wireframes, and prototypes Work within, and contribute to, our design systems as well as cross-platform visual systems and languages Determine hierarchies of information while balancing user need for a personalized experience.
Be a core contributor and/or co-facilitator in product discovery, from research and synthesis to workshops and ideation Use data to inform design decisions and continually validate your work with real users Map out user journeys and flows for logged in experiences Partner and collaborate with internal teams including research, editorial, growth, business development and external teams Utilize design thinking skills to gather insights and inputs from internal stakeholders Build low-fi to high-fi designs as needed in the product development process to run reviews and to gain buy-in on ideas.
Collaborate with design peers and their teams to share learnings, leverage shared effort and ensure quality cross-platform experience

Strong design skills, including layout, typography, color, and interaction design.
Understanding of usability implications across platforms, with a background in mobile preferred.
Proficiency with contemporary design, prototyping tools, and methods Portfolio of examples of relevant, finished digital work and their professional application.
Experience working with OKR, KPI or other goal measuring framework.
Strong knowledge or understanding of HTML and CSS. 3+ years’ experience as a full-stack product designer who utilizes a data-driven, human-centric approach to product design and development.
3+ years’ experience developing or contributing into design systems.
3+ years’ experience with experience with Product Discovery, Design Thinking, Lean UX Experience in the media, news, or technology/internet Industries.
Experience implementing accessibility best practices and knowledge of considerations throughout product process
This role can be based in NY or Seattle. No travel required today but some travel to an office may be necessary later in the year.
There is some flexibility in this rate.
