We are seeking a Talent Development Coordinator, who will be primarily responsible for operational execution of Alnylams US new hire onboarding experience.
In addition to the coordination of our US Onboarding program, the Coordinator will have the opportunity to contribute to Alnylams Talent Development initiatives such as town hall program coordination, elective and programmatic learning coordination, and course content development leveraging creative interactive learning platforms.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
US New Hire Onboarding Coordination 75%
Pre-Orientation:
Monitor completion of required new hire paperwork, ensuring all paperwork is completed prior to start date
Serve as point of contact to new hires and hiring managers, establishing communications 2-3 weeks prior to orientation to outline virtual orientation, and share key orientation related resources, information, and tasks (ie. I9, Security Badging) in advance of orientation
Ensure new hire tickets are released in a timely manner, track and problem solve issues
Coordinate with ProUnlimited, TACs and Recruiters
Maintain frequent communications with IT and new hires to ensure equipment is shipped in a timely manner, track and partner with IT to solve issues
Schedule presenters, re-confirm their attendance each orientation, and serve as their general point of contact
Schedule and facilitate the hiring manager pre-onboarding meeting
Orientation Session Coordination:
Facilitate the Orientation program using Zoom with camera on:
Present the Welcome/Introduction, How to Be Successful at Alnylam (core values & culture) and Wrap Up sessions
Facilitate transitions between presenters (introductions) and breaks
Monitor and respond to chat messages that come in throughout orientation
Be an active and engaging presence throughout orientation
Take a photo of all participants in the Zoom Gallery view
Post Orientation:
Schedule and facilitate the post-orientation follow up meeting for new hires using Zoom (2 weeks after orientation)
Send follow up email to new hires with Zoom class photo, presentations, etc.
Schedule 30/60/90-day calendar reminders for hiring managers (using the HR calendar)
Add new hires to the Global New Hire Slack channel and be an active and engaging presence on the channel to continue to promote new hires building their peer network
Orientation Continuous Improvement:
Research and share external best practices to identify new approaches for onboarding
Make recommendations based on survey and anecdotal feedback from new hires, managers, and presenters
Share and seek best practices from regional HR orientation leads
Quarterly, analyze the data by global/region/EA and create PPT summary presentations that capture the key themes that emerge from the data, share relevant data with stakeholders (IT, regional leads, etc.)
Manually trigger the Manager survey after their new hires 90th day and reminder emails
Analyze the Manager data, comparing to new hire results and create summary PPT highlighting findings
Talent Development Program Coordination and Facilitation 20%
Owning of logistical preparation and execution for ongoing Elective Talent Development programs along with larger learning events requiring partnership across multiple Expertise areas
Partnering with session instructors to enable effect virtual and in-classroom facilitation experiences for learners to engage with co-learners through breakouts and other activities
Continuously engage in program content and delivery with encouragement to add recommendations for enhancement and improvement to approaches and delivery
Instructional Design, Content Creation, and Strengthening of Development Skills 5%
Over the course of the year, this role will have the opportunity to create engaging course content using platforms such as Articulate RISE and interactive video training platforms such as Toonly
Qualifications:
At least 4 years of prior experience in a program coordination role, preferably in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, or New Hire Onboarding
Exceptional skills and abilities in logistical coordination requiring significant interpersonal interaction
Advanced PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook skills. Basic Excel Skills preferred
