Senior Systems Analyst – Inventory Ordering
A Senior Systems Analyst is part of a team of technology professionals supporting technical platforms and programs that deliver significant business value to CLIENT and its customers. They partner with internal stakeholders to develop requirements for technology solutions and analyze problems and data. This position interacts with people in both business and technical roles to create specifications and resolve issues with an eye toward continuous improvement. This position works across department and functional lines on a variety of programs that range in scope, risk, and complexity.
As part of the Inventory Technology organization, this Senior Systems Analyst will support our Inventory Ordering teams. These teams support the modern platform used to procure merchandise for stores, warehouses, and fulfillment locations throughout the CLIENT network. This is a critical function to procure the right merchandise for our customers

A day in the life…
Elicit and analyze product, service and project/program requirements from stakeholders and critically evaluate against business impacts and solutions relative to both long and short-term business objectives; reconcile conflicts and decompose high-level information into actionable details
Collaborate with others to formulate creative ideas or solutions to move project forward
Drive, organize and maintain project artifacts through documentation and versioning
Participate during user acceptance testing for system enhancements including planning, preparation, execution, and documentation of test case results to ensure original business requirements are met
Participate in planning, organizing and guiding tracks of work, including estimating work effort required to complete tasks and navigating unexpected changes and/or obstacles
Continuously improve work methods to increase overall efficiency and quality
Uses data to report status, performance and communicates using fact-based and relevant data
Can perform basic data analysis and testing tasks when needed
Familiar with Agile development concepts, planning and ceremonies
You own this if you have…
3+ years of System or Data Analysis experience, retail experience is a plus
Detail-oriented with a proven ability to drive business solutions
Possesses awareness and practical experience with technology (e.g. Cloud, APIs, services, front end web applications, open source, database technologies, etc.)
An understanding of SDLC methodologies
Experience translating business requirements into executable technical tasks
Flexibility in task assignments
Proven skill and commitment to building and maintaining relationships with all IT staff and users. Able to effectively reconcile divergent demands of multiple parties in a constrained environment.
A 4-year degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience
