Support/ Massaging & Active Directory Engineer

​​Job Description:

  • The Messaging and Active Directory Engineer role will provide designs, implementations, deployments, and support for Exchange Server, Microsoft O365, Azure, Active Directory, MFA, and SSO. The position will have a diversified background with technical infrastructure knowledge in an enterprise environment and hands-on experience with OnPrem and Cloud systems.


  • Responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, and network problems pertaining to Windows Server (2003, 2008, 2016, 2019) environment.

  • Manage cloud-based solutions with a heavy emphasis on MS 365 ecosystems (Teams, SharePoint, ..etc.)

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Networking, Security

  • Experience Managing OnPrem Exchange Servers (2010, 2013, 2016)

  • Expertise with full Microsoft stack including AD, DHCP, GPO, DNS, DFS Namespace

  • Monitoring and performance tuning for both Active Directory and Windows Server operating systems including connectivity, synchronization, replication, net logon, time services, FSMO roles, schema, NTDS database partitions, DNS settings, SRV records, certificate authorities, and trust relationships

  • Experience in Windows Server install, configuration, and maintenance

  • Working knowledge of Okta. Implement and align with SSO and strong authentication for both internal, cloud, and mobile applications with the focus on modernizing authentication

  • Experience automating processes using PowerShell scripts.

  • Act as Tier 3 support for escalated tickets from the helpdesk team

  • Develop, implement, and maintain corporate standards, policies, and procedures for operating, maintain secure and scalable infrastructure

  • Experience with VMware and virtualization services

  • Experience in Multi-Factor Authentication and Single Sign-On deployment and management

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to stay focused on completing tasks and meeting goals within a busy workspace

  • Experience with Powershell (scripting/automation)

  • MS O365

  • Windows Server Management

  • Knowledge in SSO and MFA utilizing Okta

  • Active Directory management experience (DHCP, DNS, GPO, DFS )  

  • Available to be on call during emergencies

Nice to have:

  • AWS experience

  • Knowledge in managing SSO and MFA utilizing Okta

  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team

  • Passionate and focused on learning future technologies

  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal

  • Exhibit poise and focus under stressful situations
