Evaluates, tests, recommends, develops, coordinates, monitors, and maintains information security policies, procedures and systems, including hardware, firmware and software. Ensures that IS security architecture/designs, plans, controls, processes, standards, policies and procedures are aligned with IS standards and overall IS security.
Develops techniques and procedures for conducting IS security risk assessments and compliance audits, the evaluation and testing of hardware, firmware and software for possible impact on system security, and the investigation and resolution of security incidents.
The Sr. Analyst is also responsible for documenting, analyzing, and optimizing data lifecycle management processes and foundational practices through policies, standards, guidance, and training, as well as defining, tracking, and reporting associated KPIs and risk metrics.
Job responsibilities :
Review and evaluate the lifecycle of confidential and sensitive data within business and technology environments, including management of the collection, storage, use, transfer, retention, and destruction of information
Engage with Privacy, Data Stewards/Custodians, and business stakeholders to validate where personal data is stored/processed, capture business purpose/need, and assess how privacy is embedded in associated business processes and data handling activities to evaluate data privacy risk
Coordinate with Information Security and Privacy to develop data protection controls, policies, standards, guidelines, operating procedures, and employee training material
Promote operational efficiency through alignment and execution of automation and continuous process improvement between DAM&E, Information Security, and Privacy teams
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience
5-7 years of experience working in a complex technology driven business, and cross-functional environment designing and implementing data protection systems, processes and procedures
3+ years of experience as a data governance/privacy/security analyst working in a business facing capacity
2+ years of experience in a financial institution setting and/or within the payment industry preferred

Ability to function in complex environments and clarify/convey data security and privacy concepts and terminology to stakeholders.
Self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and able to influence and motivate without direct authority.
Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical approach to problem solving, highly collaborative, and constructive in driving results and resolving conflicts
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
