To direct workforce absence financial services including check cutting services and benefit overpayments and subsequent recovery activities for multiple clients. To be responsible for strategy, planning and communication of workforce absence financial services.
Develops business plans and policies and procedures for workforce absence financial services including check cutting operations and benefit overpayments.
Directs client workforce absence check cutting and benefit overpayment recovery services unit activities ensuring that all are in compliance with federal and state agencies, best practices, claims management service standards, and client service requirements.
Responsible for budget preparation.
Directs the development of processes and controls including the execution of improvements and enhancements for workforce absence financial services maintaining a thorough knowledge of current and new processes and controls.
Directs successful implementations and/or enhancements of client check cutting and/or overpayment recovery services collaborating with internal and external implementation teams serving as the subject matter expert.
Ensures staffing levels are consistent with client contract requirements.
Resolves escalated issues that arise involving clients or operations when appropriate.
Coordinates the check cutting and overpayment recovery service controls and documentations with internal and external auditors for SOC1 testing.
Supports the total performance management initiative.

Supports the organization's quality program(s).
Travels as required.
Administers company personnel policies in all areas and follows company staffing standards and training recommendations.
Interviews, hires and establishes colleague performance development plans; conducts colleague performance discussions.
Provides support, guidance, leadership and motivation to promote maximum performance.
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting from an accredited college or university preferred.
Ten (10) years work related experience including five (5) years payroll experience and multiple state tax reporting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Supervisory experience preferred.
Skills & Knowledge:
Thorough knowledge of financial services and/or overpayment recovery processes and procedures
Thorough knowledge of service center processes and procedures
Thorough knowledge of payroll functions and multiple state tax requirements
Excellent oral and written communication skills including presentation skills
PC literate including Microsoft Office products
