  • is transforming the Time and Payroll function to support an effective implementation of a digital solution and deliver a high-quality user experience. Our goal is to transform the Time and Payroll function to become more strategic, provide business value, and sustain change. The Payroll Manager is responsible for managing all activities and resources of the Payroll Department ensuring accurate payroll processing for over 50,000 U.S and Canadian employees. The Payroll Manager will be responsible for all aspects of each pay cycle including, but not limited to, time reporting, pay calculation, pay confirmation, reporting, and system. Will execute the global payroll end-to-end re-engineering optimization, transformation processes, driving process improvement, and improve payroll quality. Ideal candidate will have deep payroll expertise, participated in time and payroll implementations.

How you will impact:

  • Own and lead daily activities of the team for the U.S. and Canada payroll end-to-end operations, including payroll processes and procedures, SOX controls, and consistent and accurate payroll execution

  • Identify and lead payroll projects that enhance payroll processes aimed at increasing efficiency, compliance, quality, and automation. Ensure compliance, regulatory reporting and remittance, adherence to all requirements

  • Ensure that all operational processes are controlled from a risk perspective, and have built-in control plans and assessments to regularly review their effectiveness

  • Involved with the implementation of a new Workforce Management and Time system with Workforce Software and related processes and standard work across teams and locations

  • Monitor payroll production errors and proactively conduct root cause and analysis and remediation plans

  • Collaborate with the team with the resolution of escalated issues and high priority cases

  • Develop and conduct payroll related training for employees and effectively communicate changes regarding the payroll system

  • Develop and implement department policies, procedures, and process improvements to maintain the quality, efficiency, KPIs, and overall effectiveness of the team

  • Manage and develop the payroll team ensuring they are successful maintaining the companys values and providing excellent customer service to all employees

  • Evaluate and complete employees annual performance appraisals and provide real time constructive feedback

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university CPP or equivalent certification

  • 7+ years of progressive responsible experience within Workforce Management, Time, and Payroll function

  • Experience with processing large payrolls and proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience with Kronos, PeopleSoft, Workforce Management Software, and

  • ADP Globalview or multiple payroll and timekeeping systems

  • Payroll experience to include mergers/acquisitions, table setup and testing in PeopleSoft

  • Prior people manager experience and leading diverse teams

  • Experience with labor relations Union and multi-state experience

  • Canadian and/or international experience preferred

  • Must be self-motivated and able to work in a team-oriented environment with an emphasis on total customer satisfaction

  • Continuous improvement mind-set

  • Strong proficiency with MS Excel is required, must have knowledge and expertise of advanced excel functionality (advanced formulas, linked spreadsheets, pivot tables, formatting reports in excel, charts & graphs, etc.).
