Job Description:

Job Purpose: Responsible for working directly with Loan Officers and Credit Union members to make the lending experience the best it can be.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer a high volume of calls in the Phone Loan Department

  • Collect data and documentation for loan applications in compliance with Credit Union policies, procedures and NCUA regulations

  • Input data in LINK loan origination system

  • Close and disburse loan funds

  • Cross sell additional loan products

  • Complete electronic documents

  • Process mail, faxes and emails

  • May be required to work a rotating Saturday schedule

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous lending experience in a credit union, bank or finance company

  • Previous knowledge of Synapsys, LINK and Episys systems

  • Previous understanding of pay statements, tax returns, vehicle purchase orders and credit reports

  • Previous experience in a sales-culture environment

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software

  • Ability to exercise excellent member and customer service skills

  • Possess above-average professional telephone skills

  • Ability to perform in a fast paced environment, handle multiple tasks and function as an integral part of a team

  • Above average ability to interact professionally with all employees and members

  • Ability to adapt well to change

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels both verbally and written

  • Ability to speak, read, and write Spanish is a plus

  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision

  • Ability to perform basic math calculations and analyze data

  • Ability to self-motivate with strong organization skills and capacity for attention to detail

  • Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time

  • Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance

  • Ability to pass applicable and Credit Union pre-hire compliance checks
