This is an entry level role with opportunity for advancement and experience with developing applications and advancing current developer skills. You will work as part of a team to support Marketing Operations and development automation with the production team as end users. This role will utilize a variety of tools and automation to optimize B2C communication efficiency. You need to learn, adjust, and improvise to meet the ever changing needs of the business. This role has flexibility and is remote with the potential to work in an assigned office in the future. Utilize existing software to determine needs and develop new solutions.
Help make the process auditable at every step. Version control managed through dev, uat, and production environments.
Coordinate with all associated teams on the development and delivery of both internal and unique client communications. Work with the team towards building a strategy that will allow us to deliver optimal and cost effective communication methods to provide customers with the best possible experience.
You will need to be flexible; able to adapt to new processes and tools. Willingness to learn new software, systems and platforms.
1-2+ years of experience working as a developer within a B2C marketing or communications system.
Knowledge of software testing methodologies.
Knowledge of software development and change management life-cycles.
Knowledge of process diagramming, wireframing, technical mapping.
PEGA Customer Decision Hub and Smart Communications a BIG plus.
Demonstrate working knowledge in the following:
B2C channel output - Email Service/API experience (B2C enterprise campaigns, on-demand and personalized notification through a service provider, such as Mail Chimp, SendGrid, etc.) and SMS text service experience (push notifications, enterprise messaging and on-demand, and personalized two-way interaction).
API – understand function, setup, creating and executing API’s between software/systems specific to digital B2C marketing. Able to use Postman if needed.
SQL or Azure (SQL Server Studio, PowerBI) – understand function, create reporting and basic operation.
Programming language - experience with and functional understanding of basic programming languages (Java, HTML, and Python).
Experience with or ability to adapt to “low code” platforms when needed.
The successful candidate will need a bachelor’s degree in business, IT, management information systems or closely related field or several years of Business Analysis experience or any equivalent combination of experience and training which may provide the required knowledge, understanding and skill sets needed to perform the role.
