A Project Manager is responsible for driving moderately complex projects and/or components/phases of larger, more complex projects. Accountable for delivering projects on time, within budget, and within scope. Leads and coordinates cross-functional, cross-departmental, cross-company teams that are responsible for all aspects of a project, from initiation to closure. Could be technical or non-technical.
The purpose of the Technical Project Manager role is to deliver program/project outcomes within time, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction parameters for various key initiatives. This role will provide leadership of the planning and execution of the program(s), a vision, strategic planning and supporting tactical execution plans for a strategic client's service or set of services. This program/project crosses multiple business areas and has a high degree of complexity, senior executive visibility, and high risk if not delivered on-time and with expected quality levels. This associate is expected to work under minimal supervision with oversight provided by the Delivery Director.
Basic Qualifications and Skills:
Ensure predictable, consistent, and successful delivery of the program/project as defined in the program charter/scope
Develop and Manage the complete view of the overall program/project for all stakeholders, at all levels, including executive management at the highest level
Exhibit proactive behavior by engaging in program planning activities, including but not limited to: Defining and controlling the overall scope of the program/project
Creating and maintaining a consolidated timeline highlighting the major milestones and associated dates for program activities; Identifying and communicating program/project dependencies and impacts; Putting mechanisms in place to ensure on-going control of the program/project (E.g., Program Approach, Risk Management, Issues Management, Change Control, etc.), ensuring proper turnover to Operations for all components
Execute project/program in alignment with governance as defined by CIO/FTS Leadership
Keep all stakeholders (internal & external) engaged in the program/project, aligned on expected outcomes, and informed about what is occurring throughout the program/project
Maintain and manage program/project from all aspects including scope, efforts, timeline, risk, and issues dependencies
Develop, manage, and maintain program/project level client communications; review and oversee the client changes required and the progress towards those changes.
Technical responsibilities include problem identification, strategy development, implementation planning, testing coordination, and solution deployment planning.
Experience thriving in matrixed organization, including our partners, offshore and 3rd party teams.
Release management experience is a must
SCRUM methodologies and Agile development experience is a must.
Experience working in the Financial Services industry is a strong plus.
Understanding of Git version control and source code management concepts
Excellent project management skills.
Experience working with MS Project and JIRA
Management of multiple projects is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or discipline.
