​​​​​Job Description:

  • A Project Manager is responsible for driving moderately complex projects and/or components/phases of larger, more complex projects. Accountable for delivering projects on time, within budget, and within scope. Leads and coordinates cross-functional, cross-departmental, cross-company teams that are responsible for all aspects of a project, from initiation to closure. Could be technical or non-technical.

  • The purpose of the Technical Project Manager role is to deliver program/project outcomes within time, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction parameters for various key initiatives. This role will provide leadership of the planning and execution of the program(s), a vision, strategic planning and supporting tactical execution plans for a strategic client's service or set of services. This program/project crosses multiple business areas and has a high degree of complexity, senior executive visibility, and high risk if not delivered on-time and with expected quality levels. This associate is expected to work under minimal supervision with oversight provided by the Delivery Director.

Basic Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ensure predictable, consistent, and successful delivery of the program/project as defined in the program charter/scope

  • Develop and Manage the complete view of the overall program/project for all stakeholders, at all levels, including executive management at the highest level

  • Exhibit proactive behavior by engaging in program planning activities, including but not limited to: Defining and controlling the overall scope of the program/project

  • Creating and maintaining a consolidated timeline highlighting the major milestones and associated dates for program activities; Identifying and communicating program/project dependencies and impacts; Putting mechanisms in place to ensure on-going control of the program/project (E.g., Program Approach, Risk Management, Issues Management, Change Control, etc.), ensuring proper turnover to Operations for all components

  • Execute project/program in alignment with governance as defined by CIO/FTS Leadership

  • Keep all stakeholders (internal & external) engaged in the program/project, aligned on expected outcomes, and informed about what is occurring throughout the program/project

  • Maintain and manage program/project from all aspects including scope, efforts, timeline, risk, and issues dependencies

  • Develop, manage, and maintain program/project level client communications; review and oversee the client changes required and the progress towards those changes.

  • Technical responsibilities include problem identification, strategy development, implementation planning, testing coordination, and solution deployment planning.

  • Experience thriving in matrixed organization, including our partners, offshore and 3rd party teams.

  • Release management experience is a must

  • SCRUM methodologies and Agile development experience is a must.

Additional skills:

  • Experience working in the Financial Services industry is a strong plus.

  • Understanding of Git version control and source code management concepts

  • Excellent project management skills.

  • Experience working with MS Project and JIRA

  • Management of multiple projects is a plus

Educational qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or discipline.
