Job Description: 

  • As a member of the Field Services North American Team, you will provide hands-on support for Microsoft Windows & Apple operating systems, Microsoft Active Directory and directory services, smart phones and wired/wireless network solutions.

  • As the on-site 2nd Level Support group you will called on to perform analytical, technical, and administrative work to aid in the on-going support of technology assets in the enterprise, including installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, supporting, and controlling critical business and IT infrastructure and applications.

  • Work in an ITIL-compliant, Change Management environment, maintaining both personal and team SLA compliance.

  • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems and create innovative solutions.

  • Perform analytical, technical, and administrative work to aid in the on-going support of technology assets in the enterprise, including installation, maintenance, supporting, troubleshooting, and control of critical infrastructure

  • Install common and standard software and hardware peripherals.

  • End user device OS Imaging and Asset Management responsibilities

  • Assist with end-user questions, problems, and training.

  • Configure and troubleshoot Android, iOS, & Chromium OS based mobile devices and related services

  • Work primarily with technology assets including: single-user & networked desktop & laptop clients; desktop & network printers; application & network servers; network switches & cabling; process control clients; small databases; smart phones and other technology assets.

  • Participate in an on-call duty roster with a weekly rotation of 24x7 coverage as required by business unit operations.

  • Duties may include loading and configuring client software as well as testing and applying required patches.

  • Provide support for staff training, continuing education and professional development.

  • Participate in technology field trials.

  • What you need to succeed

  • Technical School Degree plus experience and technical certifications is acceptable

  • Minimum 2 years proven PC/LAN experience required

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office products including O365, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

  • Knowledge of local area network computing, including Ethernet, Cisco, Windows, and TCP/IP.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Support Tools, SCCM, PXE, and ServiceNow.

  • Proven capability of providing 2nd level support troubleshooting networking components used in a high availability computing environment utilizing a multi-layer network topology within a multi campus configuration.

  • Candidate will be directly responsible for imaging and configuration of all end user devices include, PC, VMU, tablets and wireless devices.

  • Support providing maximum uptime and peak performance of local area network and associated peripheral hardware.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex hardware and software problems that require in-depth troubleshooting skills to determine root cause.

  • Ability and willingness to work in complex manufacturing environments.

  • Must be able to work and function on a high availability team in a 24x7 on-call rotation and respond on-site within thirty minutes.

  • Ability to deliver results with limited supervision and self-direction

  • Participate in technology field trials.

  • Team player, with strong interpersonal skills

  • The position requires frequent lifting and moving of computer equipment as routine and somewhat repetitive tasks. The candidate will need to be capable and demonstrate the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds on a regular basis.
