Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Obtain or create reporting as needed.

  • Orchestrate and execute all international shipments into or out of the United States ensuring client delivery parameters are met and all internal cost restrictions are complied with across multiple regions and time zones (multi-cultural diversity).

  • Execute closure on and resolution of all shipment exceptions including but not limited to ETA non-compliance and product damages as a result of transportation within the international supply chain.

  • Communicate event and proposed course of resolution to all involved parties as soon as possible after notification.

  • Utilize dashboards and customized reporting tools as needed.

  • Obtain or prepare all supporting data required by all internal stakeholders.

  • Collect, audit, and distribute shipping documentation as needed.

  • Orchestrate and execute all pricing requests submitted for international transportation services by all Novelis business units.

  • Obtain customized reporting to document event trail as needed.

  • Provide shipment tracking as needed.

  • Responsible for customer-service levels (on-time delivery) as requested and ensure all PODs are provided to all requesting parties.

  • Cooperate with all other global regions and resources to help resolve issues relating to international logistics.

  • Manage and execute work-process improvements along the international logistics process.

  • Develop knowledge and understanding of the changing regulations and market dynamics that impact the import and export activity.

  • Build strong relationships to contribute to a collaborative team environment with multiple disciplines including Sales, Tolling, Customer Service and Technical teams within Novelis NNA and importing regions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years's experience in International Logistics or related field.

  • Superior communication skills.

  • Ability to multi-task in a very fast paced, time critical environment.

  • Ability to work successfully with multiple cultures and functional disciplines.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills are required.

  • Ability to quickly learn new processes and systems.

  • Must be matrix organization experienced.

  • Must have expertise in MS Excel and proficiency with other MS office applications.

  • This position will interact with external parties on a regular basis; as such, the selected candidate should have outstanding customer service, communication, and influencing abilities.

  • Desire to take initiative and develop a pro-active relationship with internal and external customers and suppliers is critical.

  • Bachelor's Degree Required.
