Job Description:
Develops, interprets and implements financial concepts for financial planning and control. Performs technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity.
The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting Heartland Campus Solutions by providing value-added financial planning, forecasting, operational analysis, and other ad-hoc analysis to enhance decision making. The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and complying with accounting policies and procedures that ensure the highest level of efficiency while maintaining appropriate internal controls and compliance with US GAAP
Job Responsibilities :
Analyze financial status by collecting, monitoring, and studying data from various platforms compared to plans, forecasts, and prior year results.
Routine communication with Manager relating to financial close, budgeting/forecasting, issues and deliverables.
Improve financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, recommending actions to management.
Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data.
Maintain dataset of results and key performance indicators by entering, verifying and backing up data, ensuring the highest level of data integrity.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial performance management, analysis and decision support.
Ability to grasp understanding of business models and key drivers quickly and independently.
Demonstrated proficiency with expert Excel; Hyperion EPBCS and/or Oracle ERP system experience preferred.
Proven record of financial planning and strategy decisions.
Ability to work in a fast paced, hands-on environment.
Understanding of accounting processes, procedures and internal controls.
Must have Soft Skills:
Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently
Ability to manage competing priorities
Ability to generate bold, creative ideas to improve performance
Self-directed with strong motivation and willingness to take initiative and lead project
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
