  • Summary:
    Responsible for collaborating with management, site leads, corporate staff, IT, front line employees, and third-party consultants, regarding the development and management of NBCUniversal’s digital systems and applications. Administering business and site compliance with local, federal, and state environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations along with NBCUniversal company standards is a core principle of the team. The ideal candidate must have strong technical knowledge, self-motivation qualities and excellent interpersonal skills.
    EHSMIS – Responsibilities include:

  • Business Administrator for NBCU Corporate team and resource for enterprise wide EHS teams

  • Act as point of contact for EHS system related issues/concerns.

  • Drive implementation of EHSMIS tools across business

  • Develop and implement policies to guide data entry and database changes

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of EHSMIS data in all applications and databases by overseeing data input/output.

  • Remain informed on software updates, upgrades and additional services and communicate those changes to users

  • Review, analyze, and evaluate EHSMIS/user needs to provide recommendations and solutions to parallel overall business strategies.

  • Develop enhancements to existing applications not covered via business subscription funding scope.

  • Oversee quarterly verification of measurement data for all sites within the EHSMIS.

  • Reviewing metrics to ensure compliance with established EHS goals

  • Assist staff in identifying and producing their report/query including the creation and revision of specified custom reports.

  • Train and support NBCU and third-party end users

Vendor Digital Platform - Responsibilities include:

  • Familiarity with the multiple NBCU EHS online platforms used for compliance (Avetta, Verisk, STP, ENHESA)

  • Coordinate training between vendors and NBCU stakeholders through the beforehand mentioned platforms

  • Aggregate issues from the field and present those to the vendors for solutions

  • Communicate platform changes and upgrades to the NBCU stakeholders

Technological Liaison - Responsibilities include:

  • Plan, direct and maintain the overall NBCU EHS intranet structure and design

  • Maintain and update existing content on EHS web pages, (links, contact information, etc.).

  • Work with NBCU EHS corporate staff to ensure the integrity of the information provided on all pages

  • This includes editing all final HTML submissions, consistency of terminology, confidentiality, and controlled information.

  • Coordinate the flow of information between departments and groups within the business and identify new content for Intranet distribution.

  • Assess the need for and arrange and/or conduct training for departmental representatives

  • Serve as a technical expert and interface with IT for problem solving

EHS Program - Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in EHS program development and review

  • Assist sites in driving closure of compliance findings within required timeframes

  • Maintain knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and compile periodic reports as required by state/federal/local governments and/or NBCU Corporate EHS

  • Plan and produce training materials as needed.

  • Assist in formatting documents in preparation for meetings, (Op Reviews, EHS Team Meetings, Staff meetings, Trainings, etc.).

  • Other duties as required and assigned/approved by VP, Corporate EHS

  • Effectively produce under pressure with multiple deliverables at a time.

  • Experiment to find creative solutions; visualize data to grasp the bigger picture.

  • Experience with Dreamweaver, Visual Basic, Photoshop, Visio, Word, Excel, Access, Adobe, Outlook and PowerPoint.

  • Train end users to intermediate and advanced levels.

  • Supervisory experience, including ability to motivate, lead, set objectives, and manage performance.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Experience with Dreamweaver, Visual Basic, Photoshop, Visio, Word, Excel, Access, Adobe, Outlook and PowerPoint.

  • Must be willing to work in Los Angeles

  • Must be available on evenings and weekends as business operations dictate

  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health or environmental science

  • Minimum 5+ years' experience with safety, compliance, and environmental programs.
