Job Description:

Position Summary:

  • Leads and manages assigned workforce, budgets, inventories, equipment, office facilities, and the distribution center in such a way as to meet and exceed the company’s business objectives by performing the following duties. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for the overall operation, coordination and productivity of all operations functions including the warehouse and transportation, departments. 

  • Manages, reviews, verifies, maintains, and controls related to budgets, forecasts, action plans, reports, inventory, invoices, and work schedules. 

  • Manages, directs, motivates, trains, and assists subordinates.

  • Makes personnel evaluations as well as hiring and termination decisions.

  • Communicates and explains goals, concepts, ideas, and opportunities. 

  • Anticipates problems and develops solutions, plans, policies, and regulations.

  • Delegates and assigns tasks, projects, and responsibilities. 

  • Assists suppliers and customers with regards to credit, delivery, and customer service issues. 

  • Detects, analyzes, and corrects problems related to unsafe working conditions and warehouse/equipment/property conditions. 

  • Conducts and attends meetings, meetings, seminars, training sessions and budget reviews.

  • Develops training and safety programs, production standards, goals, and budgets. 

  • Prepares and maintains required paperwork, reports, and records. 

  • Oversees facility security and maintenance. 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred; or 4 – 10 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 5+ years of previous management and operations experience with an alcoholic beverage wholesaler or supplier preferred.

Physically:

  • Must occasionally lift and /or move up to 25 pounds. 

Additional Skills/Abilities: 

  • Proficient in Windows environment and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) environment.

  • Bilingual/Spanish is a plus.

  • Working knowledge of Federal and Cal OSHA regulations..

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

  • Must possess a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Ability to interpret cost build up, trends, and financial reports.

  • Highly collaborative leadership style.

  • Exceptional project management skills.
