Job Description:

  • The Designer will report to the Creative Director and work within a multi-disciplinary team to produce work that is culturally-relevant, newsworthy, and deserving of a consumer’s time and attention.

  • You are a fierce advocate for the consumer and want to become a voice in how clients can generate excitement and expand its audience.

  • In life, you see what most people miss.

  • You love what you do because no two days are the same and each day presents you with a new puzzle requiring an elegant solution.

  • You still get that familiar physical sensation when a thought suddenly turns into an idea.

  • You’re driven to breathe life into new ideas.

  • Being a maker and an active collaborator defines you. You’ve never seen perfection but you think Project Managers are pretty close.

  • You are also ready to grow.

  • Though you may still be figuring out your future path (which will be bright and filled with gorgeous work), you’re interested in putting down some roots and to see what you can learn when you immerse yourself in a brand.

  • You’re fascinated by the idea of being able to create and implement a design system across a brand advertising campaign.

  • As a client, you will work on projects solo and with partners.

  • Briefs will be big and small. Some projects will have lots of time. Others, not so much.

  • Some projects will arch into the blue sky and some will keep you planted on earth.

  • You’ll do complete campaigns and be a part of campaigns that others created.

  • Days will pass quickly.

  • You will work directly with your colleagues in marketing and present your own work.

  • You will be encouraged to be opportunistic and entrepreneurial in finding unexpected ways to bring consumers closer to the brand.

  • As a client, we trust our creatives to get the job done.

  • We also trust that they will maintain integrity and professionalism while working with their team and their marketing partners to help sustain a positive work culture and environment.

  • Create strategic, conceptual solutions that are rooted in the brand.

  • leverages human insights, human truths, native behaviors and, when available, data.

  • pushes us to innovate our approach to channels, platforms and other touch points.

  • portrays the brand and the brand experience through compelling visuals that generate excitement, understanding and engagement across all channels and touch points.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3-7 years of Designer experience working on national brands at the agency or client level.

  • You believe that better design makes life better. Full stop.

  • Understand the design nuances that make digital, social, print and broadcast channels unique and have experience with all of them. (no, we don’t expect you to have mastered them you’ll learn to do that here)

  • Strong portfolio of national brand work. (spoiler alert: we want to see you in your book)

  • Strong communicator and partner who believes in, no creative left behind.

  • Ability to prioritize your time and work with deadlines. (no one’s perfect but, like, you really try).

  • Experience collaborating with external agencies and vendors.

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects while meeting demanding deadlines and producing high-quality work. (we didn’t say you have to like it just that you can do it because that’s most of what this business is no matter where you work).

  • Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, Keynote, Word (yes, we know you’re not a writer), PowerPoint (I know but, still).

  • Bonus points for Figma and Invision (but you can learn that here).

  • You’re a problem-solver rather than a problem-giver because, despite all the bumps we encounter along the way, you realize that what we do is fun.

  • We’re the lucky ones.

  • We get to constantly make things rather than spending most our waking lives putting tiny numbers into tiny boxes or virtually filing virtual papers into virtual folders.

  • And, just the thought of that would make you do what we do for free - you know, if you could eat free, live in free, wear free and visit free twice a year on vacation.

  • Point is, we’re #grateful and #humble.
