Job Description:

Summary:

Top 3 must-have skills/requirements:

  • Programming Languages – Python, R, SQL, or SAS (Combinations or singular, but SQL is a must for Client due existing data sources)

  • Data Visualization tools – Tableau (Preferred experience), PowerBI, Excel (Must have expert skills in Excel), Other (Please provide details)

  • Machine Learning experience. Would like see examples of problems you have worked using ML and outcomes/results of your work (If you cannot share programs, please select public data and provide some insights you find in the data.

  • Education? Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science or similar

  • How many years of experience is required? 1-2 years as a Data Scientist, we would look at applicants with extensive Data Analyst experience or Data Engineer experience and a proven track record of success providing insights with unstructured data

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Digital Transformation team Data Scientist will work with business owners, Product Managers, and Program Managers develop and build required data collection mechanisms, data analysis models, and dashboard views for delivery Client leadership and across teams that are internal customers of the products and programs we support.

  • The candidate should have an existing understanding of customer care, especially experiences in the digital realm, or be ready and able quickly gain an understanding of the Client Care experience.

  • Successful candidates will have the ability work in a very fast paced environment and be able adapt rapid changes.

Key tasks of the role:

  • Analyze large sets of customer survey and operational data by leveraging the Big Data platform

  • Work with business stakeholders determine the best way visualize their data needs and create those visualizations

  • This may require the creation of new dashboards in existing platforms, or generation of simple reporting in Excel

  • Reporting via automated tasks will help drive success in the role

  • Identify key drivers impacting customer´s satisfaction, specifically on Care Digital channels

  • Identify gaps in existing data and suggest ways close those gaps

  • Build out capabilities forecast future needs and identify new needs

  • Identify key drivers impacting customer experiences

  • May be based on survey results or process related data

  • Willingness work across data sets separated by logical systems

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Desired candidates should have experience in a Data Scientist role and have a track record of proven success. Samples of analysis and reports on public data sets created by the candidate are a plus.

  • Client may ask some candidates review anonymized data sets for analysis and report.

  • We will consider candidates have worked in a Data Engineering or Data Analyst roles over longer periods of time can show proven success in the role and with delivery of analysis and report samples for review.

  • Education experience include Degrees related Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Sciences, or Finance; or Micro Certifications from organizations like Coursera and Udacity in Machine Learning, AI, Data Anlytics, Programming in related languages such as R, Python, and SQL

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Advanced Excel Skills are an absolute must

  • Experience with Tableau will be most beneficial but we want you bring your skills with other platforms help us build a robust capability

  • SAS, TensorFlow, Spark, Hadoop, SQL based tools etc. would be considered acceptable in place of Tableau

  • Advanced Statistical Analysis

  • Experience with Adobe Analytics platforms

  • Predictive Analytics capabilities using machine learning and data modeling

  • Executive Presentation Readiness – Presence and Confidence when presenting executive level leaders

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

  • Regardless of location, candidates should be willing work business hours related Eastern time zone operations. Flexible daily work between 8am and 6pm Eastern support key business owners
