​​Job Description:

  • The Senior Data Analyst will be focused on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion data initiative within client Analytics, Insights, and Measurement team. The individual will be working cross-functionally across business, engineering, and analytics and is responsible for curating and integrating new data into our existing tools and processes, developing best practices around metadata management, and providing data driven insights for various key business questions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with business leaders, engineers, and product managers to identify and implement key data and analytics needs for projects

  • Interface with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources using cloud-native data engineering principles

  • Be hands-on with ETL to build data pipeline to support data integration into existing tools

  • Develop and implement scalable best practices around metadata management

  • Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze industry dynamics and viewership trends

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Science, Technical Operations

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Science or related education

  • Experience with SQL, and other scripting languages (e.g., R, Python)

  • Experience in data mining (SQL joins, ETL, data warehouse/lakes, etc.) and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

  • Excellent writing and verbal presentation skills

  • Proficient in all MS Office products

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS

  • Analytical – You have experience in delivering data analytics solutions that promote data discovery

  • Experience with Snowflake, Amazon Web Services, or related cloud platforms a plus

  • Media-focused – Strong knowledge/passion for media including broadcast TV, digital, and film

  • Direct experience working with sources like Nielsen, Adobe Analytics, comScore, and other media/entertainment industry datasets a plus

  • Communicator – You have excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate ideas effectively across all levels of the organization, both technical and non-technical

  • Action-oriented – You're constantly figuring out new problems and are regularly showing results with a positive attitude, always displaying ethical behavior, integrity, and building trust

  • You’ve dealt with ambiguity and can make quality decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
