The Data Analyst will turn data into information, information into insight, and insight into business decisions. In addition, the Data Analyst will use multiple data sources, analyze large amounts of raw customer, supplier, and product information to find patterns, identify exceptions and publish findings. The primary responsibilities include conducting full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities, and design. The Data Analyst will develop reporting capabilities, monitor performance, and include quality control plans to identify improvements. Robotic Process Automation is an emerging capability with RNDC of which the data analyst would help drive.
Participate and drive robotic process automation
Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets, especially trends that may better inform how data should be matched and consolidated
Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to share data information and collect feedback
Provide recommendations and input into the design and improvement of the MDM solution
Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
Address and reconcile data inconsistencies
Assist with match tuning rules for multiple domains
2-4 years of experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst
BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques
Experience with MDM (Master Data Management) and Reference Data Management concepts, including match/merge and survivorship. Informatica MDM or similar MDM platform preferred
Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to analyze a data problem, communicate findings, identify possible solution options, and create documented artifacts of the overall process
Adept at writing queries, report writing, and presenting findings
Ability to present technical concepts in business terms when validating, documenting, and sharing analysis results
Self-motivated individual who can work well in a challenging, dynamic, and collaborative team environment
Ability to combine business acumen with technical aptitude
