Along with the first line risk teams, responsible to define the target state for monitoring and testing for assigned products, processes and services.
Under direction, the Analyst will complete control monitoring and testing for one or more lines of business and/or products.
Working within established timelines, the Analyst will deliver control testing and risk monitoring activities which are critical to determining control environment effectiveness.
The Analyst will gain an understanding of business processes and will develop fundamental control assessment skills.
Assist in the completion of control monitoring and testing activities for one or more areas within the Consumer Banking Division.
Building strong relationships with the Risk Managers and business line management, across the various business lines; sharing monitoring and testing outcomes.
Proactively identify & communicate Risk deficiencies, operational efficiencies, Key Risk and Control Indicators (KRI’s / KCI’s), and Continuous Monitoring opportunities.
Document RCSA (Risk Control Self-Assessment) results in system of record. Demonstrate knowledge of Divisions processes and control monitoring skills through increased independence on work tasks while maintaining quality.
Maintain up-to-date understanding of business processes along with regulatory, statutory and legislative requirements for risk management and controls
Skills and Competencies:
2 years Risk monitoring and testing experience
Experience using GRC, Wdesk, Office 365 are a nice to have but not required
Knowledge of banking products and operations; regulatory requirements; and key processes, controls and exposure areas a plus
Experience delivering under tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards
Excellent business writing skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Proficient use of MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint and Visio
Bachelor's Degree: Accounting, Business, Statistics, Risk Management, Information Systems, Finance, Economics or equivalent field or equivalent work experience.
