Job Role:

  • The scope of this role will be accountable for continuous improvement of our standards, training of design personnel, establishment of metrics for performance improvement, establishment and enforcement of change control processes for our standards, and continuous improvement of design skills. This position will work closely with the Engineering, Manufacturing, and Wind-chill teams to ensure that all Design work meets the requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop overall CADD Design Standards and Guidelines. Ensure these Standards are adopted, controlled, published, and implemented.

  • Establish Training, Quality Check and Metric processes to ensure that Standards are being used and are effective.

  • Train and Guide Freestyle CADD resources to ensure they are capable of providing high quality work that meets our standards.

  • Perform CADD Design work (3D Modeling, 2D Drawings, WT Parts Structures) in compliance with Engineering Standards. Perform work accurately and in an efficient manner.

  • Work closely with the Wind-chill Systems team to ensure seamless integration of CADD work output (3D models, 2D Drawings, reference documentation, etc.) into our Wind-chill PLM system.

Technical Skills:

  • Perform Product design using Creo software with Mechanical & Electrical teams in various modules -

  • Plastics (Injection Molded, Thermoformed, Blow Molding, Surfacing).

  • Assemblies (Model & Design)

  • Metals (Sheet Metals, Weldments, Castings).

  • Cabling & Harness (tubing/piping and/or electrical).

Required Skills:

  • Proven mastery in PTC’s WildFire or higher, Creo 4.0 and above preferred.

  • Must have CAD Design experience in Cabling & Harness, Plastics, Sheet Metals, and Assemblies.

  • Experience in Engineering Change management processes

Other Skills:

  • Experience in Creo Administration & Customization will be a plus.

  • Experience in Altium & Wind-chill will be a plus.

  • Effective problem solving
