Job Description:
Summary:
The Corporate Compensation Manager oversees the day-to-day activities of the Compensation function and is a technical expert in all areas of broad-based compensation, incentive compensation, employee recognition, and compensation systems.
The Compensation Manager is responsible for the review, development and/or implementation of new and existing programs; continuously evaluating the impact of these programs on Client’s ability to attract, motivate and retain high performing associates.
This role is responsible for introducing, integrating, and ensuring consistent application of market best practices that support the company’s overall vision, business strategy and compensation philosophy.
The Compensation Manager provides strategic direction and is a trusted business partner to the business including our HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Finance and Sales Performance Management teams providing consultation based on thorough in-depth analysis of data.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)
Manage requests for job evaluations and analysis, review and/or development of variable pay programs, oversee the updating or development of salary structures, application and modification of geographic differentials, internal equity analyses, and FLSA analyses
Perform statistical analyses, develop comprehensive reports/presentations, and deliver high level (and in-depth recommendations) to all levels of management up to and including the Executive Team
Manage and oversee participation in compensation related surveys to ensure the organization’s ability to develop, administer and maintain a market competitive pay program at all levels of the organization
Manage the design and delivery of comp related process and system documentation; develop and deliver training programs to the business ensuring understanding of systems and processes
Serve as project manager on special projects, which involve revising, modeling, developing, or re-designing new and existing programs, the design and implementation of variable pay programs and systems, HCM implementations, providing support to the business on major reorgs & restructures, mergers, and acquisitions
Partner with the Payroll, Finance, Accounting and Legal teams to coordinate and reduce organizational risk by establishing effective plan administration, compliance, planning and communication processes
Partner with Finance to provide data in support of monthly, quarterly, and annual budget process
Maintain awareness of emerging trends and regulatory developments making recommendations on the design of compensation programs based on best practices and business strategies
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university with a major in business, human resources, or a related field
Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in a progressive compensation role applying a deep understanding of commonly used compensation theories and practices One (1) to two (2) years of management experience is preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: CCP preferred, but not required.
Other Requirements:
Must have the ability to successfully administer and navigate third-party web-based HR software solutions, such as UltiPro or Workday.
