Cashier / Accounting Clerk

Job Description:

  • Reconcile drivers route bags daily; verify invoices/payments and signatures daily. 

  • Process check payments.

  • Prepare accounting reports and perform other light bookkeeping activities.

  • Manage receipts and invoices.

  • Generate transaction reports.

  • Complete driver write-up forms for short payments.

  • Generate will call list. Verify payment and follow up with late/short payments. 

  • Review “dirty invoices” and credits associated with invoice.

  • Customer specific discrepancies. Verify pricing adjustments and identify credits owed.

Qualifications and Guidelines:
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) .

  • Ability to work with management and customers throughout the business and industry at every level .

  • Physical Requirements: (These are required to perform the key responsibilities of the job with or without reasonable accommodations). 

  • Ability to sit, type, speak and answer phones for up to 8 hours a day. 

  • Ability to read, write, interpret invoices and calculate basic math. 

  • Ability to work in an office environment, in close proximity with others and get along with others. 

  • Ability to take direction from others, follow instructions, procedures and basic rules
