Job Description:

  • This role involves a person who can provide comprehensive healthcare management services to facilitate appropriate healthcare treatment, effectively manage healthcare costs and improve healthcare program/operational efficiency involving clinical issues.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Determines medical necessity/ appropriateness.

  • Facilitates optimal outcomes.

  • Identifies and follow through with continuous quality/ compliance opportunities.

  • May also include identification of aberrances and initiation of corrective action.

  • Educates/ empowers customers to ensure compliance, satisfaction and promote patient advocacy

  • Optimize total costs.

  • Implementation and evaluation of policy based on usage and program directives.

  • Educate/empower colleagues at all levels to enable decision making at most appropriate level.

Requirements:

  • Crisis intervention skills preferred.

  • Managed care/utilization review experience preferred.

  • Case management and discharge planning experience preferred.

  • Case Management in an integrated model preferred.

  • Manage healthcare costs and improve healthcare program/operational efficiency involving clinical issues.

 Desirable:

  • 3-5 years of direct clinical practice experience post masters degree, e.g., Hospital setting or alternative care setting such as ambulatory care or outpatient clinic/facility.

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience Provide comprehensive healthcare management services to facilitate appropriate healthcare treatment, effectively.

Education:

  • Preferred Minimum of a Master's degree in Behavioural/Mental Health or related field. 

  • Unencumbered Behavioural Health clinical license in the state where they work.
