Primary Responsibilities for the role:

  • Ensure that all tax filings and reporting for Corporate Clients and Shareworks by client, are issued accurately and timely

  • Contribute to the annual tax production project plan to ensure that all relevant tasks are captured throughout the year

  • Perform all required testing on tax forms that are issued from Shareworks to ensure accuracy through preliminary reviews

  • Generate tax forms in accordance with the project plan and manage testing requirements with print vendor

  • Submit filing to regulators which includes correcting and resubmitting rejected filings

  • Manage any special handling requirements for clients inclusive of tax form amendments for clients

  • Audit tax form generation to ensure all forms for all clients have been completed

  • Update processes and procedures policy portal as required

Key Skills/Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the Canadian Tax Slips and global employee share plan requirements would be an asset,

  • IRS, CRA and MRQ regulatory requirements, is a plus

  • Self-motivated and eager to learn

  • Excellent time management skills during tight deadlines

  • Proactively engage and collaborate with all co-workers globally to build positive rapport to contribute as an effective team member as measured by their feedback

  • Partake in special projects within the global tax team to enhance our process and efficiency

  • Analytical, accurate, and strong problem solving skills essential

  • Vocal ability to challenge business deficiencies identified through the tax production process

  • An ability to articulate issues both in verbal and written form to help aid swift resolution

  • Strong Excel skills and oral communication skills

  • Previous employee share plan and tax production background would be advantageous, but not essential

  • Comfortable with technology and technical concepts in a fast paced changing environment

  • A deep belief in team success, collaboration and a willingness to adapt to continuous change

  • An ability to work independently, handle numerous assignments concurrently and consistently be a self-starter that excels at meeting and exceeding professional goals
