Manages application related incidents within the enterprise ticketing system
Ensure compliance of all security measures in application support across the enterprise Participate in after-hours on-call rotation and maintenance support functions for areas of responsibility for the team Respond to outages and performance incidents â—Â Proactively manage the performance and capacity of an application from a systems viewpoint Provide and support recommendations for improved processes and procedures, as well as create and maintain documentation related to processes and procedures
Participate in the Software release management lifecycle
Write SQL queries to perform data changes. Research and build ad hoc reports as required Develop relationships with and work alongside other functional IT groups for development, networking, database and security to resolve any issues
Participate in change review meetings as needed.
Participate in compliance audits as needed.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or 4 years experience in technical application support
Must have strong deductive reasoning & diagnostic problem-solving skills
Self-motivated, fast learner, willing to go outside of comfort zone and learn new things
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of platforms (Linux and/or Windows)
Knowledge of monitoring tools (Thousand Eyes, LogicMonitor, Grafana, etc)
Knowledge of application monitoring tools (AppDynamics, Aternity, etc)
Basic knowledge of Load Balancers and Firewalls
Experience with source control systems such as GIT, and Team Foundation Server (TFS)
Knowledge in various branching/merging methodologies and release procedures
Experience with container technology such as Docker
Working knowledge of scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash etc
Experience with relational databases both Oracle and MSSQL
Experience in highly-available OLTP environments.
